Saul Leiter: Black and White
We are very pleased to add a second gallery of Saul Leiter’s work to our ‘Masters’ section. Rightly regarded as a pioneer of color photography Saul Leiter was equally comfortable with taking black and white photographs. The 30 images here which are mainly from the 1950s are arguably proof that he was a rare master of both color and monochrome.
With thanks to the Howard Greenberg Gallery in New York and especially Margit Erb.
