in-public photographers have shared their approaches to, and experience of making candid pictures in public spaces for many years and in many countries. Our photographers have collaborated with various wonderful organisations like The Guardian, Tate Modern, The School of Life, The World Photography Organisation and numerous festivals to teach Street Photography.
For the very first time we are offering workshops run entirely by in-public in order to provide the very best experience and access to in-public members for attendees. Run over two days, we will be based at the exclusive Groucho Club in the heart of London’s Soho. You will be guided by two different in-public photographers on each of the two days exposing you to a wide range of different views and approaches.
Future London and NYC workshops will be announced here on our front page and on our facebook page.
Inaugural in-public Street Photography Workshop 18th/19th May 2013
The Inaugural in-public workshop will be led by:
Working in the West End on Saturday and the East End on Sunday, students will be set assignments specifically designed to teach different strategies and approaches to capturing the unusual moments in everyday life. The four in-public photographers will convey in words and images their own unique ways of working and encourage the students to find their own visual vocabulary.
Although advice will be given on the best way to set up your camera for street shooting, the course will not focus on basic camera handling so you should be relatively self sufficient in that department.
The workshop is limited to just 20 places at a special price of £400/person.
After booking we will send you an email with details of the weekend and a link to our Street Photography Workshop Primer page.
