iN-PUBLiC was originally an international group of street photographers that operated as a collective. It was established in 2000 by Nick Turpin with the intention of bringing together like minded photographers to hold exhibitions, produce books and conduct workshops. It was the first international collective of street photographers.
iN-PUBLiC was relaunched and updated on it’s 20th anniversary in 2020 with a broader remit to encompass candid photography from the public realm of which traditional Street Photography remains a part.
iN-PUBLiC exists to explore what Street Photography is and, importantly, what it can be, whilst retaining faith in a documentary practice without staging or manipulation.
THE HOME OF STREET PHOTOGRAPHY
