iN-PUBLiC founder and London based Street Photographer Nick Turpin is doing a Street Photography Workshop over three weeks with The Miami Street Photography Festival. The workshops consists of three Saturday seminars and a private one to one appraisal session with Nick.
“Contemporary Street Photographers find themselves on the creative edge of 100 years of Street Photography heritage from the first roll film Leica through the experimental early days of Paris via the cut and thrust of 60’s/70’s New York to the present digital age of global image sharing. The tradition of candid public photography remains central but everything else is an opportunity.
Nick believes that although a camera is involved, Street Photography is an intellectual pursuit, although the streets are temporarily unavailable, this is the perfect time to question your motivations, evaluate your practice, explore new directions and consider ways of releasing the straight jacket of the phrase Street Photography. “
